I’ve never been called shy.

In case we've never crossed paths before, here's the 411 on me:

Once upon a time, I was called Sandra, Sindra, Blondra, Mandra and most annoyingly, the British sounding, Sondra, which made me cringe as I am about as British as Madonna and am as much a Sondra as I am a Sandy. After extensive focus group testing, I determined that I should simply be called the name I was born with… Alexandra, which is listed on my birth certificate along with my father’s retro occupation, “Nuclear Chemist.”

Over the course of my career, I have been called many other names including “creative genius,” and “marketing mastermind.” and “award-winning copywriter.” And with good reason. I have more than 20 years of solid direct response, advertising and Web experience for agency powerhouses up and down the West Coast.

My creative work has won numerous awards including a Clio and Communication Arts award for Dockers.com, One Show pencil for Logitech.com and a host of direct marketing accolades, including multiple Caples awards for my efforts on Microsoft, 3Com, Intel and more. In 2005 I vowed never to work on technology or websites again and decided to sink my teeth into what I really love to do – naming, ads and ideation for food and beverage clients. My new business is called Eat My Words.

When I’m not working, I’m globetrotting. I’ve traveled to six continents, 30 countries, and from Bali to Zanzibar and everywhere in between. After I got my passport stamped (or stolen) in all the places that begin with a “Z” (Zambezi, Zimbabwe, Zambia), I started looking for more adventure, which I found plenty of in my recent trip to Libya and Egypt. My travels are documented in an art installation containing of one of the world’s largest collections of floating action pens
